 The
Huffard Animal Hospital team is happy to announce our new health care
program just for senior pets! Did you know that a pet 7 or over is now
officially a senior pet? Just as people require regular diagnostic
tests such as blood work, cholesterol monitoring, and blood pressure
checks as they age, so does our senior pets. The
American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) recommends that dogs and
cats at this age be examined and tested for diseases for which older
pets are at increased risk. Routine tests such as blood work and
urinalysis can help detect certain diseases early and improve the odds
of effective treatment. Our pets bring great joy
and happiness into our lives and we want to help them have many more
wonderful years with us. One of the best things we can do is to make an
appointment for the Young at Heart Senior Care Program. The program
follows the AAHA guidelines and includes twice a year exams and
laboratory tests. It is designed to address health risks and detect
early stage disease, when it is the most treatable. Because of better
health care, our senior pets are living longer and enjoying an improved
quality of life as they age. Please call us today
to find out more about our Young at Heart Senior Care Program and to
make an appointment for your special friend. It is the best thing you
can do for your pet! Click

for your dog or cat. Just print it, check the items that apply to your
pet and bring it with you at the time of your Young at Heart
appointment. How Old is Your Pet?
